Round Rock Movers
Round Rock Texas, located in Travis and Williamson counties, was named the seventh best small U.S. city in which to live by Money Magazine in 2008.
The city’s education system ranks among the best in the entire state, with 12 of it’s 33 schools deemed “exemplary”. Perhaps better knows as the home of Dell Computers, Round Rock continues strong growth today. Dell’s corporate headquarters are located in Round Rock and the company is one of the areas major employers, keeping around 16, 000 residents at work. Ikea is also a Major retailer in the city.
The small community was formed in 1851 and got it’s name from the large round, anvil-shaped rock which was located in the middle of “Bushy Creek”. Cotton was grown in Round Rock in the first part of the 20th century and was responsible for most of the county’s wealth. Grapes, cattle and sheep were also grown.
The original Texas Chain Saw Massacre was shot in Round Rock as was Disney’s “The Rookie”, which was inspired by the true events of Jim Morris, a famous baseball star. The Rookie starred well-known actor Dennis Quaid.
