Oak Hill Movers
Located in the county of Travis, just 13 miles south of downtown Austin, the community of Oak Hill was once known as Live Oak Springs.
Founded in the early 1870’s Oak Hill’s first major building was a post office. Because of the nearby rock quarries, it wasn’t long before Oak Hill began to grow. By 1884 there was a general store and saloons. Nearby farmers shipped out cotton, wool and pecans. By 1904 the population of Oak Hill had reached 200.
Today Oak Hill is predominantly within the city limits of Austin but some businesses and streets are still identified as being in “Oak Hill”. The late, but notable NFL player Bob Trocolor was born in Oak Hill in 1917. Today Oak Hill boasts 61,297 residents.
